RELOCATING TO PHILADELPHIA
Philadelphia offers so much more than just the Liberty Bell, Rocky and cheesesteaks! This city of over 1.4 million people is studded with superb shopping venues and world-class restaurants (like Fountain, Vetri, Jose Garces' Amada, Georges Perrier's Le Bec-Fin, and Stephen Starr's Barclay Prime, Parc and Buddakan, to name a few of the best). If greenery is more your style, you can take advantage of hiking, biking, rowing or horseback riding in Fairmount Park, the nation's largest urban green space.
SEPTA rail lines and buses, as well as services such as PhillyCarShare, provide numerous ways of getting around the entire city easily and without a car. Philadelphia is active with a thriving arts and music scene, with venues like World Cafe Live, the Kimmel Center, and the Walnut Street Theatre showcasing first-class talent. And, of course, we've got the world-famous Phillies, who scored their "phantastic" win in the 2008 World Series and returned to the series in 2009!
The DiFranco Team at Elfant Wissahickon Realtors is based in Mt. Airy, in the Northwest corner of the city. Founding team members Larry and Denise together have over 35 years of experience in the real estate business, and have specialized in Northwest Philadelphia, particularly Mt. Airy; Chestnut Hill; Germantown; and East Falls. Larry is a South Philly native; Denise lived in Mt. Airy for many years and now resides in nearby Lafayette Hill. Newer members Noelle and Kristi--who grew up in Fishtown and Port Richmond, respectively--have lived in the city practically their entire lives. Both are now happy Mt. Airy residents, but they can also provide a matchless knowledge of numerous neighborhood "stomping grounds," as they continue to support the growth and changes occuring in the communities to which they've maintained close ties.
In the past year or so, our team members have found homes for our buyers throughout the various Northwest neighborhoods, the Art Museum District, Fishtown, South Philly and Fairmount. A number of our buyers also chose homes in suburban Montgomery County townships. Many non-Philadelphians are amazed at the diversity and beauty found in and around our city. We’re dedicated to finding you a home in whatever neighborhood suits you best, and can provide the guidance you need to discover it!
